Soup is my go-to for whatever might be the problem. Soup for the sick, soup for the sad, soup for the tired, soup for the party, soup Sunday and soup for when the weather changes. I am pretty sure I love soup more than most people and that is totally ok. I would love the opportunity to come prep and freeze some soup for you, but it is easy to do it yourself if you enjoy cooking. I have a great base recipe that I am happy to share with you. I learned a long time ago the quickest and easiest route to good soup starts with the base. A solid foundation is required for all good things, after all. Don't forget the most important ingredients... love and joy.

I am going to give the recipe and ingredients with measurements from the heart. If you have any questions just shoot me an email! I've linked products but I am not getting any kind of kickback. It is just for your information :)

*Start with a heavy soup pot on medium low.

*Add olive oil, butter, coconut oil, and/or ghee (all healthy oils) - 3-4 tablespoons, cover the bottom of pot well. ( I do not recommend vegetable or seed oils due to health concerns- Huberman talks more about that on Youtube.)

*Chop a whole medium onion, any size pieces are fine, but I like mine chopped small, add to soup pot. Allow to cook while you continue chopping. (See my favorite chopping hack.)

*Chop 3-4 ribs of celery, add to soup pot.

*Chop 3 medium carrots, add to soup pot.

*Chop 3 medium cloves of garlic, add to soup pot.

*Chop 1 large or 6 small round potato, add to soup pot.

Let these veggies cook a few minutes (maybe 10).

*Add Better than Bouillon base of your choice with the appropriate amount of water. I like Organic Vegetable Base and Organic Chicken Base best.

*Add spices. Every soup I make starts with garlic powder, onion powder, 2 bay leaves, and paprika

*Let Simmer until the flavors are how you like them. It will cook longer if using it as a base but if you're just going to eat as is I would cook for another 15 minutes on low to let flavors meld.

That is it....TADAH.... you have easy vegetable soup or the base for whatever beautiful kitchen magic you are about to create!

That base is the core of what my kids refer to as "Mom Soup" is how I start the following soups that I make at home and can or freeze as well as the soups I prep for clients.

Black bean Soup and many variations of it,

White bean, also with many variations,

Chicken Noodle Soup,

Black Eye Pea Soup ( my family's favorite!),

Lentil Soup and Curries,

Creamy Chicken (with added ingredients)

Chick Pea Curry Soup (with added ingredients)

Cabbage Soup or Beef and Cabbage Soup

Creamy Pumpkin (with added ingredients)

Omit Potato for Carrot Ginger Soup (with added ingredients)

Omit Carrots for Cheesy Broccoli (with added ingredients)

and many more!

Here is the fun part- What kind of soup are you making? Black bean? Chicken White bean Chili? Old fashioned chicken noodle?
